If you are in the market for a speedy smartphone, the Huawei Ascend D Quad XL will be at the top of the list when it is released in Q2 of 2012. This phone has scored incredibly well in benchmark test that blew the competition away. Huawei's K3V2 processor was able to beat NVIDIA Tegra 3, Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660, Samsung Exynos, and TI OMAP4 in a benchmark test.
The Ascend D Quad XL will feature a 4.5 inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution with multitouch capabilities. There are 8 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM. A microSD slot is available for memory expansion along with microUSB for data transfer. A rear facing 8 MP camera comes with autofocus, dual-LED flash and video capture at 1080p. The front facing 1.3 MP camera is also capable of video as well.
The Ascend D Quad will be powered by Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) and will be released with lots of preloaded Android software. Standard sensors can be found on this device: accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. The Ascend D Quad comes in metallic black and ceramic white and will weight approximately 150 grams.
This lightweight super smartphone has set the mark for other manufactures to chase. No word yet on which providers the Ascend D will be coming to or the price but will will keep everyone posted.
