Earlier this week, Samsung filed an application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office to reserve the term "Samsung Galaxy Camera. There's no news or evidence on how far along Samsung is in development with the product. Samsung is either considering or already developing some sort of Android Camera. This would not be Samsung's first camera with connectivity. The Samsung CL80 is a 14.2 Megapixel Wi-Fi Digital Camera that can instantly send a photo or video to another device or uploaded directly to a website.
An Android-powered camera makes a lot of sense in our digital world. Who wouldn't want the convenience of accessing social media sites or online photo sharing sites directly from their camera. As Smartphone cameras improve, traditional point-and-shoots needs to take a stand. Although many have claimed they use their phones as their primary camera, photo enthusiasts believe that Smartphone will never replace their good old camera.
