Rechargeable batteries was a great invention that kept a lot of disposable batteries out of the landfills. One drawback is that you always need to bring your charging station when you traveled. Designers Yung-Hsaing Chang, Ming-Shien Lin and Chang-Ting Lu created a new type of rechargeable battery that doesn't require power outlets. These photoelectric battery only requires daylight.
The body of this battery is transparent and coated with an anti-reflective layer. Inside lie the solar cells that soak in the sun’s energy. The batteries come in AA AAA and there's even a 3.5mm jack that can power your other devices.
