"LG has announced a release date for the Xnote Z330 and Z430 to be the first quarter of 2012."
So it's a date range rather than an actual date. When I read the press release, I thought I was going to get an actual "release date". I have to admit I was a little disappointed. I really hope they won't disappoint with the ultrabooks. LG is further along with their ultrabook development than some of the other manufacturers who does not have a model on the market. At first glance, the Z330 looks very similar to Apple's MacBook Air.

Take note that both the 13 inch model and the 14 inch have resolutions of 1366 x 768. There will not be 1600 x 900 display option available. The size and weight is consistent with most ultrabooks and the outer casing is the standard brushed aluminum design inside and out.
LG claims the cold boot is less than 10 seconds and wake from standby is instant.
The price tags on these 2 models were really shocking. In the era of tablets and smartphones, ultrabooks have to be competitively priced. It was reported that the LG Xnote Z330 – GE30k will have the Core i5 with 4GB RAM and 120 GB SSD with a target price of $1500. The LG Xnote Z330 – GE55k will have the Core i7 with 4GB RAM and 256 GB SSD with a price tag of $2300!!! I understand that LG doesn't want to devalue their brand but most comparable ultrabooks are around the $1000 range. With 75 different ultrabooks releasing this year, I think LG should take a closer look at where they want to be in this market.
